ABOUT ME
Welcome, I am happy we found each other! My name is Kristie Hahn-Bee, RRT, LMT. My story begins in 2002 when I graduated from the Wellness and Massage Training Institute. Since then I have been practicing as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). The majority of my massage career was spent in Chiropractic health and wellness. Since 2010 I have been in business for myself at a private country club managing pain, injury, and relaxation for my clients.
While starting my massage business, I was accepted into the Respiratory Therapy program at Moraine Valley Community College. I graduated from this program in 2013 and began my career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). This gave me the opportunity to work in every area of the hospital, including but not limited to the following: Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Surgery Unit, Burn Intensive Care Unit and general floor therapy. Being an RRT put me on the front line during the covid pandemic.
In January 2020, I experienced some health challenges of my own. Triggered by dental and postpartum issues, I experienced strange symptoms systemically that would change my life forever. This was the beginning of my health journey.
Every procedure or treatment I received seemed to make it worse. I experienced over 30 symptoms, some of them being: severe pain in my jaw bone, severe insomnia, intolerance of foods, nausea, stomach pain, headaches/migraines, hallucinations, internal vibrations, depersonalization, chills and many more. I felt trapped in a body that was attacking itself. It was a real life horror movie.
Conventional medicine helped with symptom management but not much else. After many hours of research, doctor visits and dental procedures all around the country, I started to put the pieces together. To generalize the condition, it would be known as Lyme disease and co-infections. However, this is quite the mixed bag.
Since the illness was triggered by dental issues, I focused on those first. A very skilled oral surgeon, out of Mill Valley California, performed cavitation surgery on me and saved my life. An integrative parasite doctor in St Louis helped me as well. I learned a lot. After the dental procedure, my health improved
significantly. I was able to continue treating myself for Lyme disease as well as heavy metals, inflammatory foods, general detox and wellness. This is when the true healing began.
In July 2024, I was still working as both a LMT and RRT. More and more I noticed those around me, needed help and guidance in overall wellness. It was then that I began my education in Applied and Biochemical Kinesiology at The Kinesiology Institute. This helped me integrate all of my personal experience and knowledge, as I continued my journey to becoming what I am now, a Wellness Practitioner.
My goal is to create awareness for as many people as I can so that we all can live a happier, healthier and fulfilled life.
